International Feet Review 2002 Issued on October 1 2002 (Heisei 14)

International Feet Review 2002 Issued on October 1 2002 (Heisei 14)
The origin of the fleet review began in 1341 when Edward III of England inspected the majesty of his fleet during the Hundred Years War between England and France. In addition, the current fleet-review style was held in 1897 (Meiji 30) during the celebration of Queen Victoria's coronation 60th anniversary. The origin of the fleet review in Japan took place in 1868 (Meiji 1) off the coast of Mt. Tenpo in Osaka. At this time, Emperor Meiji inspected from land, and the ships were six Japanese battleships and one French Navy battleship. The Japanese fleet review has been handed down after the war and continues to this day. The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 2002 International Fleet Review Ceremony, and is designed with "escort ship and full ship decoration".
