日光国立公園 1938 (昭和13) 12月25日発行 （みほん）
富士箱根国立公園切手が好評を博したため、逓信省は12カ所の国立公園切手を全て発行することとした。この切手は江戸時代初代将軍の徳川家康を祀った景勝地「日光」の代表的風景を描いたもので、外国人蒐集家のために、4種の切手と解説書を付けた「小型シート」が併せて発売された。

Nikko National Park stamp Issued on December 25, 1938 (Showa 13) - Specimen -
The Fuji-Hakone National Park stamps were well received by stamp collectors, so the Ministry of Communications decided to issue all 12 national park stamps. This stamp depicts a representative landscape of Nikko, a scenic spot that enshrines Ieyasu Tokugawa, the first shogun of the Edo period. For foreign collectors, a "small sheet" with four kinds of stamps and a commentary was put on the market.
