国際宇宙年 (International Space Year) は、1992年に国連が定めた国際年のひとつである。世界各国の地球観測衛星を利用して地球環境の現状を明らかにする活動が行なわれた。切手はその発足を金得して発行され、「地球観測衛星アディオス」と「放送衛星BS-3」がデザインされている。
