第5回ラムサール条約締約国会議 1993 (平成5年) 6月10日発行
ラムサール条約 (Ramsar Convention) は、湿地の保存に関する国際条約である。水鳥を食物連鎖の頂点とする湿地の生態系を守る目的で、1975年12月に発効した。1980年以降、定期的に締約国会議が開催されている。切手は、1993年6月に北海道の釧路で開催された第5回会議を記念して発行され、「丹頂鶴の親子」がデザインされている。
5th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties of the Ramsar Convention Issued on June 10, 1993 (Heisei 5)
The Ramsar Convention is an international treaty on the conservation of wetlands. It came into effect in December 1975 with the aim of protecting the ecosystem of wetlands with waterfowl at the top of the food chain. Since 1980, the Conference of the Parties has been held regularly. The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 5th conference held in Kushiro in June 1993, and is designed with "Parent and child of Japanese crane".
