1993年10月、郵政省は。国際文通週間 (International Letter Writing Week) 切手を発行した。国際文中週間は文通による相互理解で世界平和に貢献する国際週間である。万国郵便連合 (UPU) 結成日の10月9日から1週間、毎年設定されている。切手は、鎌倉時代の上畳本三十六歌仙絵巻 (あげたたみぼんさんじゅうろっかせんえまき) から「紀貫之像」と、佐竹本三十六歌仙絵 (さたけぼんさんじゅうろっかせんえ) から「小大君像 (こだいのきみぞう) 」がデザインされている。

In October 1993, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. International Letter Writing Week stamps have been issued.
