世界人権宣言45周年の1993年、世界人権会議 (World Conference on Human Rights) は、国際連合の主催によりオーストリア・ウィーンで1993年6月に171か国が参加して開催された。冷戦終結後開催された最初の人権に関する国際会議であり、その成果はウィーン宣言及び行動計画としてまとめられた。切手は、この会議を記念して発行され、「弱者の立場と自由の獲得」がデザインされている。
45th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights Issued on December 10, 1993 (Heisei 5)
In 1993, the 45th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the World Conference on Human Rights was held in Vienna, Austria, with the participation of 171 countries, sponsored by the United Nations. It was the first international conference on human rights held after the end of the Cold War, and the results were summarized in the Vienna Declaration and Action Plan. Stamps are issued in commemoration of this conference and are designed for "the position of the weak and the acquisition of freedom".
