World Conference on Natural Disaster Reduction Issued on May 23, 1994 (Heisei 6)
Monju is a fast breeder reactor of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency located in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture, Japan. Monju is a prototype reactor for practical use of a fast breeder reactor that uses MOX fuel (plutonium / uranium mixed oxide) and can produce more fuel than consumed, and is based on data from the fast experimental reactor Joyo. It is the second fast breeder reactor in Japan built on the basis. The stamp was issued in 1994 to commemorate the achievement of the critical point of Monju, and the "Monju and Steel Tower" was designed.
