関西国際空港開港 1994 (平成6年) 9月 2日発行
1994年9月、関西国際空港 (Kansai International Airport) が開港した。この空港は、大阪府大阪市の南西35 kmに位置する国際空港。西日本の国際的な玄関口であり、また関西三空港の一つとして大阪国際空港 (伊丹空港) 、神戸空港とともに関西エアポート株式会社によって一体運営が行われている。切手はこの空港の開港を記念して発行され、「海上の空港俯瞰と旅客機」がデザインされている。
Opening of Kansai International Airport Issued on September 2, 1994 (Heisei 6)
In September 1994, Kansai International Airport opened. This airport is an international airport located 35 km southwest of Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. It is an international gateway to western Japan, and is operated integrally by Kansai Airports Co., Ltd. along with Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport) and Kobe Airport as one of the three Kansai Airports. Stamps are issued in commemoration of the opening of this airport, and "Overview of the airport at sea and passenger planes" are designed.
