1994年第49回国民体育大会は、夏季・秋季大会は愛知県、冬季大会は群馬・宮城県で開催された。冬季大会 (スケート・アイスホッケー競技) のテーマは「上州国体」、冬季大会 (スキー競技) のテーマは「みやぎ鳴子国体」、夏季・秋季大会のテーマは「わかしゃち国体」である。この大会から開会式での入場行進の参加人数を制限するようになった。切手は、「ハンドボールと、カキツバタ」がデザインされている。
49th National Athletic Meet Issued on October 28, 1994 (Heisei 6)
The 49th National Athletic Meet in 1994 was held in Aichi Prefecture for the Summer and Autumn Games, and in Gunma and Miyagi Prefecture for the Winter Games. The theme of the Winter Games (skating and ice hockey competition) is "Kamishu National Athletic Meet", the theme of the Winter Games (ski competition) is "Miyagi Naruko National Athletic Meet", and the theme of the Summer / Autumn Games is "Wakasha- chi National Athletic Meet". From this tournament, the number of participants in the entrance march at the opening ceremony has been limited. The stamp is designed with "handball and iris".
