第15回国際糖尿病会議 1994 (平成6年) 11月 4日発行
国際糖尿病会議は、1952年オランダのライデンに始まり、3年に1回行われている。1994年11月、第15回会議が日本で開催された。この会議は、108ヵ国、5000余名の参加者を擁して成功裡に終了した。切手は、この会議を記念して発行され、「藤永道長 (966-1027：歌人で糖尿病患者と言われている) とインシュリンの結晶」がデザインされている。
The 15th International Diabetes Federation Congress Issued on November 4, 1994 (Heisei 6)
The International Diabetes Conference began in Leiden, the Netherlands in 1952 and held once every three years. In November 1994, the 15th meeting was held in Japan. The conference was successfully completed with more than 5,000 participants from 108 countries. The stamp was issued in commemoration of this conference and is designed with "Fujiwara no Michinaga (966-1027: a poet who is said to be a diabetic) and insulin crystals".
