Heiankyo 1200th Anniversary Issued on November 8, 1994 (Heisei 6)
In November 1994, various events were held in Kyoto to commemorate the 1200th anniversary of Emperor Kanmu's relocation to Heian in the 13th year of Enryaku (794). Various commemorative ceremonies and events were held at the Kyoto National Museum, including the "Beauty of the Dynasty" exhibition, which exhibits paintings, sculptures, and arts and crafts of the Heian period dynasty culture. In commemoration of this, 3 types (7 stamps) of stamps are issued, and "Maple Viewers", "Shugakuin Imperial Villa" and "Ishiba" are designed.
