平安建都1200年 1994 (平成6年) 11月 8日発行
1994年11月、この年が桓武天皇の延歴13 (794) 年の平安遷都から1200年になることを記念し、京都では様々な行事が行なわれた。京都国立博物館で平安時代王朝文化の絵画、彫刻、美術工芸品を展示する「王朝の美」展の開催をはじめ様々な記念式典や行事が開催された。切手はこれを記念して3種 (7枚) 発行され、「観楓図」「修学院離宮」「石庭」がデザインされている。
Heiankyo 1200th Anniversary Issued on November 8, 1994 (Heisei 6)
In November 1994, various events were held in Kyoto to commemorate the 1200th anniversary of Emperor Kanmu's relocation to Heian in the 13th year of Enryaku (794). Various commemorative ceremonies and events were held at the Kyoto National Museum, including the "Beauty of the Dynasty" exhibition, which exhibits paintings, sculptures, and arts and crafts of the Heian period dynasty culture. In commemoration of this, 3 types (7 stamps) of stamps are issued, and "Maple Viewers", "Shugakuin Imperial Villa" and "Ishiba" are designed.
