1995年6月、郵政省はグリーティング切手を初めて発行した。さまざまな機会で郵便による挨拶に利用できるシンプルなデザインの切手の発行により、通常切手では表現できないキャラクター性や季節の多彩な表現など、多様なデザインを創出して郵便の利用促進を目的としている。最初の切手は5種とデザインシール一体型の小型シートで、デザインは、「気持ち、ハート、祝福、調和、ふれあい」である。
Greetings Flower Issued on June 1, 1995 (Heisei 7)
In June 1995, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued the first greeting stamp. By issuing stamps with a simple design that can be used for greetings by mail on various occasions, we aim to create various designs such as character characteristics and various seasonal expressions that cannot be expressed by ordinary stamps, and to promote the use of mail. The first stamp is a small sheet with 5 types and a design sticker, and the design is "feelings, hearts, blessings, harmony, contact".
