郵政省は、1996年4月から1997年1月にかけて、戦後50年メモリアルシリーズ切手を5集 (15種) 発行した。第二次世界大戦終戦後、日本の歴史的及び文化的な変遷を代表的な出来事や人物をデザインして発行した。このリーフは第1集と2集である。

From April 1996 to January 1997, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued 5 collections (15 types) of postage stamps for the 50th anniversary of the war.
