婦人参政権行使50周年 1996 (平成8年) 4月 10日発行
1946年 (昭和21) 4月、戦後初の衆議院選挙の結果、日本初女性議員39名が誕生する。そして、10月に大日本帝国憲法の全面改正案が成立し、女性参政権が明確に保障された「日本国憲法」が同年11月3日公布、1947年 (昭和22) 5月3日に施行された。切手は婦人参政権50年を記念して発行され、「女性と国会議事堂」がデザインされている。

In April 1946 (Showa 21), the first 39 female members of Japan were born as a result of the first postwar election (as a result of the House of Representatives election). The clearly guaranteed "Constitution of Japan" was promulgated on November 3, 1947, and came into effect on May 3, 1947. The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the women's election, "Women and The House of Representatives" is designed.
