In April 1946 (Showa 21), the first 39 female members of Japan were born as a result of the first postwar election (as a result of the House of Representatives election). The clearly guaranteed "Constitution of Japan" was promulgated on November 3, 1947, and came into effect on May 3, 1947. The stamp was issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the women's election, "Women and The House of Representatives" is designed.
