50th Anniversary of Community Chest Issued on September 30, 1996 (Heisei 8)

50th Anniversary of Community Chest Issued on September 30, 1996 (Heisei 8)
Community chest activities began in 1947 (Showa 22) as "national support activities" after World War II. In the first community chest activity, a donation of 600 million yen was received from the feeling of "when in trouble, each other". The current monetary value is equivalent to 120 billion yen. Currently, for the purpose of promoting community-based welfare stipulated in the "Social Welfare Act," various areas in the region are being supported as "a mechanism to improve my town." We support welfare activities. The stamp is issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the community chest activity, and the "red feather and circle of people" is designed.
