長野オリンピックは、1998年 (平成10年) 2月、日本の長野県長野市を中心とする地域を会場として開催された。これは20世紀最後の冬季オリンピックである。冬季オリンピックの歴代開催地の中では、長野は最も南に位置する緯度の地域である。切手は、1996年2月、オリンピック募金のための寄付金付きで2種発行された。デザインは、「大会エンブレムとマスコットのスノーレッツ」である。
58th Olympic Winter Games, Nagano Donation Issued on February 7, 1997 (Heisei 9)
The Nagano Olympics were held in February 1998 in the area centered on Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. This is the last Winter Olympics of the 20th century. Of all the venues for the Winter Olympics, Nagano is the southernmost latitude region. Two types of stamps were issued in February 1996 with donations for the Olympic Games. The design is "Snowlets of the tournament emblem and mascot".
