郵政省は、1997年4月、切手趣味週間切手を発行した。今回、奥村土牛画「醍醐 (だいご) 」が採用された。奥村土牛 (おくむら とぎゅう) は、現代日本の代表的な日本画家の一人である。院展理事長。文化勲章受章。刷毛で胡粉などを100回とも200回ともいわれる塗り重ねをし、非常に微妙な色加減に成功した作品が特徴とされる。「富士山図」著名で、皇居に飾られている。

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued stamp hobby week stamps in April 1997. This time, Togyu Okumura's painting "Daigo" was adopted. Togyu Okumura is one of the leading Japanese painters in contemporary Japan. He is the director of the exhibition. He received the Order of Culture. He uses a brush to apply whitewash 100 times or 200 times, and is characterized by his work, which succeeds in very delicate color adjustment. He is famous for "Mt. Fuji" and is displayed in the Imperial Palace.
