最高裁判所50周年 1997 (平成9年) 5月2日発行
最高裁判所は、日本国憲法が施行された1947年5月に、日本国憲法および裁判所法に基づき設置された、日本の司法機関における最高機関である。最高裁判所裁判官は、最高裁判所長官1名と最高裁判所判事14名の15名で構成される。切手は、最高裁判所設置50年を記念して発行され、「最高裁判所大法廷」がデザインされている。
50th Anniversary of the Supreme Issued on May 2, 1997 (Heisei 9)
The Supreme Court is the highest body in the Japanese judiciary, which was established under the Constitution of Japan and the Court Act in May 1947, when the Constitution of Japan came into effect. The Supreme Court judges consist of 15 members, one Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and 14 judges of the Supreme Court. The stamp is issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Court, and the "Supreme Court Grand Court" is designed.
