Night high school / correspondence high school education was established in 1948 (Showa 23) as a new education system to provide high school education to working youth based on the idea of equal opportunity for postwar education. In 1955, "Expansion of Courses for High School Correspondence Education" made it possible to graduate from high school only by correspondence education. The number of correspondence high schools increased to 96 in 1996 and 344 in 2007.rice field. Stamps are issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of part-time correspondence education, and a "blackboard" is designed.
