1996年8月27日、郵政省は文化人切手2種 (第5集 )を発行した。明治時代の小説家幸田露伴と、江戸時代の浮世絵師、安藤広重である。幸田露伴は、小説「五重塔」「運命」などで有名である。安藤広重は、江戸時代の日本の風景を描いた木版画によって大人気の画家となり、ゴッホやモネなどの西洋印象派の画家にも影響を与えた。
Cultural Leaders Issued on November 4, 1997 (Heisei 9)
On August 27, 1996, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued two types of cultural stamps (Vol. 5). Koda Rohan, a novelist from the Meiji period, and Hiroshige Ando, an ukiyo-e artist from the Edo period. Koda Rohan is famous for his novels "The Five-Storied Pagoda" and "Fate". Hiroshige Ando became a very popular painter with woodblock prints depicting Japanese landscapes during the Edo period, and influenced Western Impressionist painters such as Van Gogh and Monet.
