地球温暖化防止京都会議 1997 (平成9年) 12月 1日発行
地球温暖化防止京都会議 (Kyoto Conference on Global Warming.) は 1997年12月に京都府で開催された。この会議で、二酸化炭素など大気中の温室効果ガスの 2000年以降の削減目標と，その政策措置が決定された。現在のCop会議も、基本的にはこの京都議定書に端を発している。切手は、この会議を記念して発行され、「母なる海」と「母なる大地」がデザインされている。
Kyoto Negotiation to Protect the Global Climate Issued on December 1, 1997 (Heisei 9)
The Kyoto Conference on Global Warming. Was held in Kyoto Prefecture in December 1997. At this meeting, reduction targets for greenhouse gases in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide after 2000 and their policy measures were decided. The current Cop conference basically originates from this Kyoto Protocol. Stamps are issued in comme- moration of this conference, and "Mother Sea" and "Mother Earth" are designed.
