長野オリンピック冬季競技大会 1998 (平成10年) 2月 5日発行
1998年2月、長野オリンピックが長野県長野市を中心とする地域を会場として開催された。この大会は、20世紀最後の冬季オリンピックである。72の国 (地域) から選手・役員4638人が参加し、延べ144万2700人の観客が会場に集った。切手は、長野オリンピック冬季大会を記念して10種の競技をデザインした小型シートが発行された。

In February 1998, the Nagano Olympics were held in the area centered on Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. This tournament is the last Winter Olympic Games in the 20th century. 4,638 athletes and officers from 72 countries (regions) participated, and a total of 1,442,700 spectators gathered at the venue. As for the stamps, a small sheet designed for 10 kinds of competitions was issued in commemoration of the Nagano Olympic Winter Games.
