長野パラリンピック冬季競技大会 1998 (平成10年) 2月 5日発行
1998年長野パラリンピックは、1998年3月5日から3月14日に行われた第7回冬季パラリンピック。1998年長野オリンピックの後に長野県長野市を主会場として開催され、冬季パラリンピックではアジア初の開催となった。今大会では知的障害者が初めてノルディックスキー距離競技 に参加を認められた。切手は、この大会を記念して2種発行され、「アイススレッジホケー」と「シラネアオイ」がデザインされている。

Nagano Paralympics Winter Games Published February 5, 1998 The 1998 Nagano Paralympics is the 7th Winter Paralympics held from March 5th to 14th, 1998. After the 1998 Nagano Olympics, it was held in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture as the main venue, and it was the first time in Asia for the Winter Paralympics. For the first time, people with intellectual disabilities were allowed to participate in the Nordic skiing distance competition. Two types of stamps have been issued to commemorate this tournament, and "Ice Sledge Hoke" and "Glaucidium palmatum" are designed.
