1998年10月、郵政省は。国際文通週間 (International Letter Writing Week) 切手を発行した。国際文中週間は文通による相互理解で世界平和に貢献する国際週間である。万国郵便連合 (UPU) 結成日の10月9日から1週間、毎年設定されている。切手は、上段 (国際文通週間) には伊藤若冲画「動植綵絵 (どうしょくさいえ) 」がデザインされ、下段 (グリーティング) には、伊藤若冲の「著色花鳥版画」がデザインされている。
International Letter Writing Week Issued on October 6, 1998 (Heisei 10)
In October 1998, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. International Letter Writing Week stamps have been issued. International Penpal Week is an international week that contributes to world peace through mutual understanding through correspondence. It is set every year for a week from October 9th, the date of formation of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). As for the stamps, Ito Jakuchu's "Doshokusaie" is designed in the upper row (International Letter Week), and Ito Jakuchu's "Chosyoku-katyo-hanga (Colored Flower and Bird Prints)" is designed in the lower row (greeting).
