日本アルゼンチン修好100周年 1998 (平成10年) 12月 2日発行
日本とアルゼンチンの関係は、1898年「修好通商航海条約」により樹立された。その後，日本人の移住もあり両国関係強まったが，第二次大戦に伴うアルゼンチンの対日宣戦布告 (1945年3月) により、両国関係は一時断絶した。1952年の平和条約締結によって外交関係が再開された後，移住協定 (1963年発効) ，友好通商航海条約 (1967年発効) 、技術協力協定 (1981年発効) 等が締結された。切手は、両国の修好条約締結100年を記念して発行され、「タンゴを踊る男女」がデザインされている。
Centenary of Friendship between Japan and Argentina Issued on December 2, 1998 (Heisei 10)
The relationship between Japan and Argentina was established in 1898 by the Treaty of Commerce and Navigation. After that, the relationship between the two countries strengthened due to the migration of Japanese people, but the relationship between the two countries was temporarily cut off by the declaration of war on Japan by Argentina (March 1945) following World War II. After the resumption of diplomatic relations due to the conclusion of the peace treaty in 1952, the migration agreement (effective in 1963), the Friendship Trade and Navigation Treaty (effective 1967), and the technical cooperation agreement (effective in 1981) were concluded. The stamp is issued in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the Treaty of Amity and Commerce between the two countries, and is designed with "men and women dancing tango".
