切手趣味週間 1999年 (平成11年) 4月 20日発行
郵政省は、1999年4月、切手趣味週間切手を発行した。今回は、堂本印象画「兎春野に遊ぶ」が採用された。堂本 印象は、主に昭和時代に活躍した京都市生れの日本画家で、日本芸術院会員である。戦後、抽象表現や障壁画の世界にも活躍の場を広げ、国際展覧会に多くの作品を出展するなど国際的にも活躍した。

Domoto Insho is a Japanese painter born in Kyoto who was active mainly in the Showa period, and is a member of the Japan Art Academy. After the war, he expanded his field of activity to the world of abstract expression and barrier painting, and exhibited many works at international exhibitions, and was also active internationally.
