天皇陛下御在位十年 1999年 (平成11年) 11月12日発行
平成天皇 (明仁〈あきひと〉：1933年〈昭和8〉12月23日-) は、日本の第125代天皇 (現在は上皇) である。1989年 (昭和64) 1月7日、昭和天皇の崩御に伴い、皇位を継承し、「平成」へ改元が行われた。また、2019年 (平成31) 4月、皇室典範特例法に基づき天皇の地位を譲位した。切手は、平成天皇の在位10年を記念して切手2種と小型シートが発行され、日本の伝統的な雅楽の装束から、「桐竹文様」と「鳳凰文様」がデザインされた。
10th Anniv. of Emperor's Reign Issued on November 12, 1999 (Heisei 11)
Emperor Heisei (Akihito: December 23, 1933-) is the 125th emperor of Japan (currently the emperor). On January 7, 1989 (Showa 64), with the demise of Emperor Showa, he succeeded to his throne and was changed to "Heisei". Also, in April 2019 (Heisei 31), the position of the emperor was transferred based on the Imperial Code Special Law. Two types of stamps and a small sheet were issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Heisei, and "Kiritake pattern" and "Phoenix pattern" were designed from traditional Japanese gagaku costumes.
