切手趣味週間 2000年 (平成12年) 4月 20日発行
郵政省は、2000年4月、切手趣味週間切手を発行した。今回は橋本雅邦 (はしもとがほう) 画「竜虎図」が採用された。雅邦は同門の狩野芳崖ともに、日本画の「近世」と「近代」を橋渡しする位置にいる画家で、芳崖と共に狩野派の描法を基礎としつつも洋画の遠近法等の技法を取り入れ、明治期の日本画の革新に貢献した。東京美術学校では雅邦四天王と呼ばれた下村観山、横山大観、菱田春草、西郷孤月の他、川合玉堂、橋本静水らを指導しており、その指導が近代美術に及ぼした影響は大きい。

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued stamp hobby weekly stamps in April 2000. This time, Hashimoto Gahō's painting "Ryutorazu" was adopted. Gahōis a painter who is in a position to bridge the "modern" and "modern" of Japanese painting with Hōgai of the same gate. Contributed to the innovation of Japanese painting. At the Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts, he teaches Kanzan Shimomura, Taikan Yokoyama, Shunsou Hishida, Kogetsu Saigo, Kawai Gyokudo, and Seisui Hashimoto, who were called the four heavenly kings of Gahō.
