The Internet Fair 2001 Japan was conceived by Taichi Sakaiya, Secretary of the Economic Planning Agency, and was held for one year from December 31, 2000 to December 31, 2001 as part of the Government of Japan's Millennium Memorial Project. It is an event on the Internet that imitates an exposition. Nickname (catch copy) is Raku-Morakuza. The stamp was issued in commemoration of this, and the "Japanese crane and exposition URL" was designed.
