2001年2月から2003年3月まで、郵政省は、年に発行した第1次世界遺産シリーズに続き、第2次世界遺産シリーズを発行した。日本の世界遺産は2001年時点で9件登録されており、今回は11集に分割 (各10種) して発行された。
2nd World Heritage Series No.10 Issued on December 20, 2002 (Heisei 14)
From February 2001 to March 2003, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications published the Second World Heritage Series, following the First World Heritage Series published in the year. As of 2001, 9 World Heritage Sites in Japan have been registered, and this time it was published in 11 collections (10 types each).
