日本ユネスコ加盟50周年 2001 (平成13年) 7月 2日発行
国際連合教育科学文化機関 (UNESCO) は、1946年11月4日に設立された。日本は、国際連合に加盟する前の1951年に加盟した。その後、1950年代から1960年代にかけてアジアやアフリカの新独立国が次々と加盟を果たし、加盟国の大半が南側諸国によって占められるようになった。切手は、日本の夢す子加盟50年を記念して発行され、「日本の夏の花とハト」がデザインされている。

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) was established on November 4, 1946. Japan joined in 1951, before joining the United Nations. Then, from the 1950s to the 1960s, new independent countries in Asia and Africa joined one after another, and most of the member countries were occupied by southern countries. The stamp is issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Japan's Yumesuko membership, and is designed with "Japanese summer flowers and pigeons."
