サンフランシスコ平和条約50周年 2001 (平成13年) 9月 7日発行
1951年9月、サンフランシスコで「日本国との平和条約」が締結された。これにより日本は1945年の終戦による占領から独立国家の主権を回復した。国際法上、この条約により、日本と多くの連合国との間の「戦争状態」が終結した。その後日本はインドネシア・中華民国・インドとの間で講和条約を締結しているが、ロシア連邦との講和条約は締結されていない。切手は、これを記念して発行され、「オペラハウスと秋草」がデザインされている。

In September 1951, the "Peace Treaty with Japan" was signed in San Francisco. As a result, Japan regained sovereignty as an independent nation from the occupation of the end of the war in 1945. Under international law, this treaty ended the "war situation" between Japan and many Allies. After that, Japan became Indonesian and Chinese. A peace treaty has been signed with the country and India, but no peace treaty has been signed with the Russian Federation. The stamp was issued in commemoration of this, the opera house and Akikusa are designed.
