2001年10月、郵政省は、国際文通週間 (International Letter Writing Week) 切手を発行した。国際文中週間は文通による相互理解で世界平和に貢献する国際週間である。万国郵便連合 (UPU) 結成日の10月9日から1週間、毎年設定されている。切手は、安藤広重画「東海道五十三次」の「原、大磯、阪之下」がデザインされている。
International Letter Writing Week Issued on October 5, 2001 (Heisei 13)
In October 2001, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued an International Letter Writing Week stamp. International Penpal Week is an international week that contributes to world peace through mutual understanding through correspondence. It is set every year for one week from October 9th, the date of formation of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The stamp is designed by Hiroshige Ando's "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido", "Hara, Oiso, Sakashita".
