世界精神医学会は、精神医学に関する情報を集め，これを広く伝達するための組織である。1950年，パリで発足した。本部はロンドンにあり，4年に1回大会を開催する。切手は、2002年8月に横浜で開催された「第12回世界精神医学会議」を記念して発行され、「蝶と花束」がデザインされている。
12th World Congress of Psychiatry Issued on August 1, 2002 (Heisei 14)
The World Psychiatric Association is an organization that collects and disseminates information on psychiatry. It was established in Paris in 1950. Headquartered in London, it holds a convention once every four years. The stamp was issued in commemoration of the "12th World Psychiatric Conference" held in Yokohama in August 2002, and "Butterfly and Bouquet" is designed.
