テレビ50年 2003 (平成15年) 1月31日発行
1953年 (昭和28) 1月、日本の電気メーカーのシャープが国産第1号のテレビ「TV3-14T」を発売した。同年2月、 NHK東京テレビジョンが日本初の地上波テレビ放送 を開始した。更に同年8月、 日本テレビがテレビ民間放送初のテレビ放送を開始した。切手は、日本のテレビ放送50年を記念して発行され、「テレビ局タイトルの鳩と街頭 テレビ」、「ひょっこりひょうたん島の人形と家庭用テレビ」がデザインされている。

In January 1953 (Showa 28), Japanese electric maker Sharp released the first domestically produced TV "TV3-14T". In February of the same year, NHK Tokyo Television started Japan's first terrestrial television broadcasting. Furthermore, in August of the same year, NTV started the first television broadcasting of commercial television broadcasting. The stamp is issued in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Japanese TV broadcasting, and is designed with "TV station title Dove and Street TV" and "Hyokkori Gourd Island Doll and Home TV".
