Chrysanthemum stamp 1899 (Meiji 32)-1907 (Meiji 40)

Chrysanthemum stamps Issued on 1899 (Meiji 32)-1907 (Meiji 40) Japan won the Sino-Japanese War in 1895. At that time, Japan gradually became more focused on nationalism due to the predominance of the West after the Meiji Restoration. The chrysanthemum stamp, which is the emblem of the Emperor's family, reflects the era and the English letters have been removed. However, due to the fact that counterfeiting was discovered on some of these stamps (10 and 20 sen), and the fact that it was necessary to write English characters for actual international communications, the government was new in 1913 (Taisho 2). I decided to issue a stamp of design. Meanwhile, this stamp has been used for about 20 years.
