1953年 (昭和28) 10月、郵政省は、伊勢志摩国立公園切手2種を発行した。伊勢 志摩国立公園は、三重県中央部に位置する志摩半島とその周りに広がる国立公園。伊勢市,鳥羽市、志摩市、南伊勢町にかけて、およそ6万haの広大な面積を有する。同時期に、小型シート (無目打) が発行された。
