図案改正 (Changed Designs)
桜切手 (図案改正) 1875年～1876年(明治8年～9年)発行 1875年（明治8年）、郵便利用の増加に伴い、大蔵省は同一品質且つ大量印刷の必要性から、新式の電胎盤方式による切手製造の準備をしていた。そのつなぎとして、上記の図案改正切手3種を発行した。その2年後の1877年（明治10年）6月、日本は欧米諸国同様、万国郵便連合に加盟し国際化を果した。
"Cherry blossom stamp" (Changed Designs) Issued on 1875ー1986 In 1875 (Meiji 8), with the increase in postal use, the Ministry of Finance was preparing to manufacture stamps using the new electric placenta method because of the need for the same quality and mass printing. As a link, the Ministry of Finance issued the above three types of design revision stamps. Two years later, in June 1877 (Meiji 10), Japan joined the Universal Postal Union and achieved internationalization, just like Western countries.
