1963年 (昭和38) 5月、郵政省は磐梯朝日国立公園 (第2次) 切手2種を発行した。磐梯朝日国立公園は、 福島 、 山形 、 新潟 の三県にまたがる 国立公園 。 1950年 (昭和25) 9月指定。 総面積 (186,404ha)は日本の国立公園では 大雪山国立公園に次いで、2番目に広い。 第1次切手は1952年 (昭和27) に発行された。

In May 1963 (Showa 38), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued two types of Bandai Asahi National Park (second) stamps.Bandai Asahi National Park is a national park that spans the three prefectures of Fukushima, Yamagata, and Niigata. Designated in September 1950 (Showa 25).The total area (186,404 ha) is the second largest national park in Japan after Daisetsuzan National Park. The first stamp was issued in 1952 (Showa 27).
