In March 1965, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued two type of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park stamps (secondary). Joshinetsu Kogen National Park is a national public park of mountains, plateaus and hot springs that spreads over the three prefectures of Gunma, Nagano and Niigata. There are Tanigawa, Kusatsu, Mt. Asama, Karuizawa, Shiga Kogen, etc. In the park.Most of the mounta- inous area of Gunma prefecture on the border between Niigata and Nagano is a park area, and you can see volcanoes with unique scenery such as Mt. Tanigawa, Mt. Asama, and Mt. Kusatsu-Shirane, as well as vast plateaus and hot springs everywhere.
