Akan National Park(Second) Issued on 8 , 25 , 1969 (Showa 44)
In August 1969 (Showa 44), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued two types of Akan National Park stamps (secondary). Akan National Park has expanded to the area around Lake Mashu and Kaminokoike with the name change from "Akan National Park" in 2017, and has an area of 91,000hectares. Marimo on Lake Akan is designated as a national special natural monument. In addition, Lake Akan is a lake of origin of Kokanee and is registered under the Ramsar Convention.
The first stamp (Akan National Park) was issued in 1950 (Showa 25) with a small sheet.
