In September 1959 (Showa 34), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued two types of stamps for Yaba-Hita Hidehikoyama Quasi-National Park.
Yaba-Hita Hidehikoyama National Monument spans the three prefectures of Fukuoka, Oita, and Kumamoto prefectures, and covers the areas of Mt. Hiko, Yamakei, Chikugo River, Hita, Mt. Mannen, and Kanedate. It was formed by the mountains of the erosion. valley and the comprehensive landscape of the Chikugo River, Hita, etc., and was designated in July 1950.The stamps are designed by Yabakei's "Blue Cave Gate" and Hita Misumi River's "Cormorant Fishing".
