琵琶湖国定公園 1961 (昭和36年) 4 月 25 日発行
1961年 (昭和36) 4月、郵政省は琵琶湖国定公園切手1種を発行した。
琵琶湖国定公園は、琵琶湖とこれを取り囲む自然の風景地を対象として、わが国で最初の国定公園のひとつとして昭和25年7月 24 日に指定された。本公園の区域はわが国最大の湖である琵琶湖を中心として、その周囲に連なる伊吹山、霊仙山、 賤ヶ岳、三国山、比良連山から比叡山に続く山々と瀬田川 (宇治川) の一帯からなっている。
この切手は、琵琶湖と比叡山がデザインされている。

In April 1961 (Showa 36), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued one kind of Biwako Quasi-National Park stamp.
Lake Biwa Quasi-National Park was designated on July 24, 1950 as one of the first national parks in Japan for Lake Biwa and the natural scenery surrounding it.
The area of this park is centered on Lake Biwa, which is the largest lake in Japan, and is composed of Mt. Ibuki, Mt. Ryozen, Mt. Shizugatake, Mt. Mikuni, Mt. Hiei,. and the Uji River. This stamp is designed for Lake Biwa and Mt. Hiei.
