1961年 (昭和36) 9月、郵政省は大沼国定公園切手1種を発行した。
大沼国定公園は、1958年 (昭和33) 7月に、南北海道唯一の国定公園に指定された。北海道南西部渡島半島の中央部に位置し、活火山の駒ヶ岳 と、噴火により形成された大沼、蓴菜(じゅんさい)沼などの大小の湖沼、及びその周辺地域一帯がエリアである。切手は、大沼と駒ケ岳がデザインされている。

In September 1961 (Showa 36), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued one kind of Onuma Quasi-National Park stamp.
Onuma Quasi-National Park was designated as the only national park in southern Hokkaido in July 1958 (Showa 33). Located in the central part of the Oshima Peninsula in southwestern Hokkaido, the area is the active volcano Komagatake, large and small lakes such as Onuma and Junsai swamp formed by the eruption, and the surrounding area. The stamps are designed by Onuma and Komagatake.
