In January 1963 (Showa 38), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued one type of Ishizuchi Quasi-National Park stamp.
Ishizuchi Quasi-National Park is located in the area centered on Mt. Ishizuchi and Omogokei in the central part of the Shikoku Mountains. It was designated in 1955.
It straddles Ehime and Kochi prefectures and has a park area of approximately 107 square kilometers. Major scenic spots include Mt. Ishizuchi, Dogamori, Kamegamori, Komochigongen, Tebakoyama, Takadaru Valley, and Snowfall. There are valleys such as the Yukitaru Valley and the Bansho Valley.There are many alpine animals and plants. around Mt. Ishizuchi. The stamp is designed by Mt. Kongo.
