年賀切手 昭和25年用 1950 (昭和25年) 2月1日発行
1950年用の年賀切手は、年賀状用には発行されなかった。その理由は、この年から、
「寄付金付き (懸賞付き) 年賀はがき」による年賀状が決定されたからである。年賀はがきは、1949年12月1日から発売が開始された。発行数は、寄付金無し葉書が、3千万枚、寄付金付き葉書 (2円+1円) 」が、1億5千万枚である。郵政省は寄付金付き年賀はがきの販売促進を優先した。昭和25年の年賀切手は、年賀はがきの懸賞の小型シートとして発行されたため、発行は、1950年2月1日となった。しかし、法的に切手とするには、懸賞以外の有価切手を発行する必要があったため、懸賞用小型シート以外に、同じ図案の切手 (丸山応挙の虎) が一般用として同日発行された。
