1952年用年賀切手は、1952年 (昭和27) 1月16日に発行された。この時も、1950年と同じように、正月時期の後に発行された。理由は、郵政省が相変わらず、官製年賀はがき (額面2円+寄付金1円) の3億5千万枚発行を優先させたためである。そのため、寄付金が付かない年賀切手は、1千万枚 (35分の一) しか発行されなかった。デザインは「翁の面」で、年賀はがきの懸賞として「小型シート」が配賦された。
