年賀切手 昭和28年用 1953 (昭和28年) 1月1日発行
1953年用年賀切手は、1953年 (昭和28) 1月1日に発行された。現在なら、年賀状作成準備期間として前年12月に発行されるが、この年も1月1日に発行された。この年も郵政省が寄付金付き年賀はがき5億枚 (そのうち1億枚はこの年より切手より1円安い4円となった。また、寄付金付き4億枚はこの年から額面4円+寄付金1円となり、切手との差がなくなった) を優先させたからであり、この年の年賀はがきが5億枚の発行に対して、年賀切手は、1千万枚 (50分の一) しか発行されなかった。デザインは「三番叟人形 (さんばんそうにんぎょう) 」であり、年賀はがきの懸賞として「小型シート」が配賦された。なお、この年から切手のデザインに「郷土玩具」が採用された。
