1960年用年賀切手は、1959年 (昭和34) 12月19日に発行された。この年も、寄付金無し年賀はがき4円 (1億7千万枚) と、額面4円+寄付金1円はがき (6億2千万枚) が発行された。年賀切手は、1000万枚 (79分の一) が発行された。デザインは、金沢玩具の「米食いネズミ」であり、年賀はがきの懸賞として「小型シート」が配賦された。

The 1960 New Year stamp was issued on December 19, 1959 (Showa 34). In this year as well, New Year's postcards with donations of 4 yen (170 million) and postcards with a face value of 4 yen + donations of 1 yen (620 million) were issued. 10 million stamps (1/79 against postcards) were issued. The design is a Kanazawa toy "rice eating mouse", and a "small sheet" was distributed as a prize for New Year's postcards.
