1961年用年賀切手は、1960年 (昭和35) 12月20日に発行された。この年も、寄付金 無し年賀はがき4円 (2億2千万枚) と、額面4円+寄付金1円はがき (6億3千万枚) が発行された。年賀切手は、800万枚 (106分の一) が発行された。デザインは、福島と岩手玩具の「赤べこと金のべこ (牛) 」であり、年賀はがきの懸賞として「小型シート」が配賦された。

The 1961 New Year stamp was issued on December 20, 1960 (Showa 35). In this year as well, new year's postcards without donations of 4 yen (220 million) and postcards with a face value of 4 yen + donations of 1 yen (630 million) were issued. Eight million (1/106 against posutcards) New Year stamps were issued. The design is "Akabeko and Kinbeko (cow)" from Fukushima and Iwate toys, and a "small sheet" was distributed as a prize for New Year's postcards.
